Portable machine for removal of wear edges in cylinder liners
The VKS Wear edge milling machine is a pneumatically driven and portable machine designed for the removal of wear edges in cylinder liners. It is easily adjustable for different wear edge positions and due to its wheel-mounted design is highly accurate, minimising the risk of accidental damage of liners, a frequent occurrence with manual grinding methods. The removal of wear edges minimizes piston pulling time and saves piston rings and liners, increasing engine efficiency. With the VKS the complete removal of a wear edge takes no more than 25 minutes and in most cases less, depending on diameter.

Adjustable VKS wear edge milling machine
The VKS-A is the latest addition to our air-driven range of wear edge milling machines. The VKS- A is a workshop version of the traditional VKS unit which covers all 2-stroke engines from 32 to 98 cm bore. The VKS-A consists of one main unit and a range of adjustable arms which are easy to change in-situ, as needed.
The VKS-A is easy to adjust to fit the size of 2-stroke engine liners, thus removing the previous need for workshops to have one VKS per liner diameter.
